Hi Fans and Friends!
We're as excited as one band can be to be sharing the Cedar Cultural Center stage with Dominique Cravic and les Primitifs du Futur on Saturday, May 1. This fabulous band from France is a major influence on CAO. They deliver Musette, Gypsy, Swing, Chanson, Tango, Blues, and just about anything else, with a distinct French flair and a nod to many musical traditions from around the globe. We have learned countless tunes from their recordings and have recorded two of Cravic's compositions, "la Belle et le Manouche" and "L'homme Sandwiche et la Femme Panthere" both on our Germaine cd. We consider it a great honor to be a part of this show. Details here:

Next, CAO is busy in the studio again! We're happily working on our 8th recording. This one has the working title of "Berets and Bongos". It will feature tunes from nine different countries and songs in six different languages. This will be the first CAO recording to feature Robert Bell on guitar, and also welcomes back vocalist Diane Jarvi on three tracks (she is the stunning voice on our first cd, "Dancing on the Moon"). We hope to have the new recording available by the time we play the Minnesota State Fair in August.

Again, we extend our sincere thanks for your support and hope to see you real soon!
Dan, Eric, Erik, Joe, Robert and Elizabeth
